My go-to mantra: Stay patient and trust your journey.

I love: exploring my creativity, writing poetry, and getting lost in the process of creating, there’s truly nothing I love more. Oh and maybe a good cup of coffee!

Most played song: According to iTunes, “Blank Space” by Taylor Swift (and I’m 100% okay with that!)

A little astrology: Aquarius Sun, Cancer Rising, Taurus Moon

Human Design: 2/4 Projector with Splenic Authority

I can’t live without: cold brew, my journal, my iPhone (let’s be real, it’s basically part of my body at this point), and my family.

If I could go anywhere in the world: I feel such a deep connection to NYC and Paris. I can’t wait to return to NYC and travel to Paris (I’ve never been to Europe!)

The last book I read: The Seat of the Soul by Gary Zukav, his wisdom has transformed my life and I can’t recommend this powerful collection of words enough.

My joy blueprint: deep connection with others, quiet moments in the morning, and providing the space and the platform to uplift our voices to seek our joy, and bring about greater healing.

The most healing thing I’ve ever done: choosing to drop the armor of anger and allow my true self to step forward. When I allowed my inner voice, my intuition, to step forward and speak to me, my life transformed. We are our greatest healers, teacher, and guides.

I started Seek The Joy because: I wanted to create connection and community around shared experiences. I wanted to create something that would remind us that no matter what life throws at us, we have the power and the ability to choose and chase our joy, over and over again.

What inspired the name of the podcast? The name of the podcast, "Seek The Joy" was inspired by a bracelet I made in 2014 (which you can see on my instagram feed here) - and it was inspired by a conversation I had with a friend. He said, very honestly, that I needed more joy in my life. The truth was, I didn't even know where to begin to start seeking joy my joy. In true Sydney fashion, I decided to create a permanent reminder to seek my joy, and I ordered the bracelet. The rest is history!

My biggest takeaway since starting Seek The Joy: I’ve learned a lot since starting Seek The Joy, and this is what I know for sure. We're here for love, joy and connection. We're meant to fully step forward in our authenticity and allow ourselves to reconnect to the light within, to who we are. We're here to remember that we're never alone, that we're connected to all that is, and that life is meant to be lived in color. Through heartfelt storytelling, conversations, and speaking our truth - on Seek The Joy Podcast we're doing exactly that.
