I’m excited for you to connect with Tanya, check out her work and impact, and follow along as she continues to remind readers about the importance of self-love and learning how to nurture, champion, and support themselves.

I'd love it if you'd introduce yourself, what you do, and what you're working on.

I’m a professional intuitive, a regular contributor to MindBodyGreen, and an author. I’ve written eight nonfiction books and I’ve done intuitive readings with thousands of clients all over the world. My latest book is Love Notes to My Self with Workman Publishing, a collection of self-love inspirations, affirmations, and messages. It’s based on an annual self-love calendar I do with Workman called A Year of Self-Love. I’m currently working on a new book for empaths and two oracle decks, as well as a romantic fantasy novel.

How did you get started?

I’ve wanted to be a writer since high school, when I started reading novels and writing poetry. I discovered I was naturally very intuitive when I was in middle school. I learned how to write by working at magazines and newspapers in New York City (I also went to journalism school in London), and then went out on my own to write nonfiction books and offer intuitive readings.

What Inspired the work you’re doing?

I love to write about things I’ve learned in order to help myself, whether the subject is self-love, intuition, sensitivity, angels, grief, or mindfulness. I try to write books that I would enjoy reading. When I write nonfiction books, my greatest hope is that they can help improve the reader’s life.

What is your biggest passion? Do you feel like you're living your passion and purpose?

Yes, I’m very grateful that I am living my passion. That hasn’t always been true for me, and also I believe our passions change and evolve, so perhaps I won’t always be doing what I’m doing right now.

What is your joy blueprint? What lights you up, brings you joy, and makes you feel the most alive?

For me being creative is a big factor. I also love my nurturing alone time, beauty, connecting with people I love, supporting clients as an intuitive, learning new things, honing my craft, spending time in nature, and trying to be of service or a positive force in the world.

How do you live intentionally? Are there tools/resources/practices that you rely on to help you stay mindful and grounded?

I’m a big believer in taking care of your physical body, which no one does perfectly. But eating well and taking healthy supplements that work for me is important. I also love listening to music and laughing! The practice of quieting the mind is foundational for my work.

What would your younger self think about what you're doing now?

I think she’d be proud, relieved, and amazed at how different my life looks now comparatively. Although I don’t think she would be shocked, because most of the things I’m into now I was into when I was younger, almost consistently through every incarnation of myself.

Do you have a go-to mantra or affirmation?

Grace is supporting me in unexpected ways.

What is your biggest dream?

Right now that would be to publish the trilogy of fantasy romance novels I’m working on. I have a nonfiction agent but I’m seriously seeking a fiction agent.
