I'd love it if you'd introduce yourself, what you do, and what you're working on.
HIII My name is Rachel! I'm a writer and content creator whose passion is to motivate others to live a positive, fulfilled life. I have a self development/motivational blog series called Ways With Rachel where I share my positive perspectives and tactics to live life to the fullest. I also share more personal experiences or advice in other topics such as family, relationships, health, beauty, and anything that takes place in my life on my blog and personal Instagram page.
How did you get started?
When I decided to ditch the idea of needing to sacrifice happiness for a paycheck, I wanted something that could fulfill me and also be able to provide the quality of life I want for myself. The whole "providing" part may take some time to match up to that paycheck I ditched, but helping others through motivation, especially teens, is something that calls to me. I truly believe that simply sharing experiences and reflecting on them can help others who can relate, so thats what makes me happy and that's what I do :)
What inspired the work that you're doing?
Experiences throughout my life have shaped my way of thinking - and it either went in a good direction or a bad direction. Battling depression and having strong insecurities to being positive, confident and happy is a hard, mental and emotional journey. Sharing my experiences, my mentality and my support in this area is the most valuable thing I have to offer, and thats why I share this with the world everyday.
What is your biggest passion? Do you feel like you're living your passion and purpose?
My biggest passion is to help people love themselves, love others, and make the most out of their life. At some point, everything I create leads back to motivating people to be their own best self. Whether it's sharing practical tactics to finding their individual power or sharing my own, I always share everything with the intention to inspire others. I am still on the journey of my own self exploration, but I am proud of where I am and stand behind everything I share. And like I said, simply sharing my journey can shed light into someone elses life.
What is your joy blueprint? What lights you up, brings you joy, and makes you feel the most alive?
My joy blueprint is in my faith and self love. My faith allows me to always have hope and always keep a positive mind. And my self loves allows me to enjoy my life and be grateful for all I have. These two things allow me to the best mother, wife, friend, mentor, creator - anything - that I can be.
How do you live intentionally? Are there tools/resources/practices that you rely on to help you stay mindful and grounded?
Every piece of content I create or any collaboration I take on I always make sure that I am not just providing content but also providing value. Any relationship I create or even simple conversations I have I put the effort to give something or leave something positive with that person. I want to make sure that my name represents service, rather than someone who fits in or looks good or just wants attention. And maybe I have an advantage in remembering to live intentionally because the majority of my content is about mindfulness in all areas of life, so I am frequently reminded (by my own self LOL)
What would your younger self think about what you're doing now?
I wouldn't be surprised that I'd be taking the risk of becoming my own boss, but I'd definitely think I'm weird and overly optimistic in regards to what my actual goals and aspirations are. I was a very lost and confused kid, so the lense I saw life through was very narrow, superficial and selfish.
Do you have a go-to mantra or affirmation?
Theres many I really love, but the one I've gone back to most during this life change I'm experiencing of leaving the financial safety of corporate America to becoming an entrepreneur, I read this passage in the bible: Matthew 6:25-33.
What is your biggest dream?
I just want to leave a legacy of goodness and light. I want to help create a revolution of positivity and love. And leading people to that mindset of believing in God and in themselves is my biggest dream.
