Happy #SeekTheJoy Tuesday!

Today we’re celebrating five years of Seek The Joy Podcast. FIVE YEARS! I can’t believe it, and I’m so grateful for the journey and for everyone who has been on this road with me. Whether you’ve been listening to the podcast from the very beginning or just jumped in, thank you for being here, for pressing play, and for being part of this incredible community.

When I sat down to publish our first episode back in October 2017, I never could have imagined, predicted, or believed we’d make it to five years.

Over the last five years we’ve published over 267 episodes, I’ve featured over 326 people on Joy Corner, 193 people and their incredible stories on Stories of Inspiring Joy and we hosted Seek The Joy Summit with over 500 attendees. How incredible is that?

The last five years, this podcast, this community, and the opportunity to connect with you has changed my life. It’s funny, when I think about the Sydney that hit publish on that first episode back in 2017, I don’t even recognize her! I’ve grown so much, I’ve widened my perspective, I see the world through a more wholistic and community minded lens. I have this podcast and this community to thank for that, and there isn’t a day that goes by that I’m not incredibly grateful.

Today’s episode is a celebration, but it’s also the closing of a chapter. I can’t even begin to tell you the immense gratitude I have for this platform, for you, for this opportunity to connect and share, and it is bittersweet to share that this will be the final episode of Seek The Joy Podcast.

I’ve sat with this decision for months now, trying to decide if it’s the next right move, and how I wanted to share this news with you. But it’s time to close this chapter and open space for a new one.

This isn’t goodbye, it’s see you later. With every evolution and change, comes an opportunity to revisit where we’ve been – and I’d love to leave the door open to come back to the podcast if and when the time is right, if and when the inspiration strikes, the same way it did in 2017. There’s so much more to these reflections and I hope you’ll tune into to today’s episode.

Over the last five years I’ve formulated a more meaningful relationship with myself – and in part, I have this podcast to thank for that.

I’m a firm believer that we all have a story to share and a voice that’s meant to be heard, and while I am hanging up my microphone and headphones for now, know that this feed will remain – and you can always revisit old episodes, and reach out and connect with me.

Big love.

Sincerely, me.

My life has changed so much since 2017. It’s changed in ways I never could have imagined. I’ve grown, I’ve experienced profound loss, I’ve woken up to a greater sense of self-confidence and trust that I didn’t know was possible, and an acknowledgement that every day presents a new challenge but boy, am I up for it.
