Ep. 54 Soul Chat with Katie Calder
Happy #SeekTheJoy Tuesday!
When I reimagined Seek The Joy Podcast back in July, I mentioned to you guys that I would start airing episodes I like to call “soul chats.” The plan was (and is!) for these conversation style episodes to feature some pretty incredible and amazing people in my life who have so much wisdom and magic to share.
I’m so excited to bring you the first of these chats with my good friend, Katie Calder. Katie is the incredible force behind the Instagram account @namaskayyy. Her thoughts and perspective on wellness, holistic healing, spirituality, astrology, manifestation (I could go on!) inspires me endlessly. When she’s not rocking the world of social impact, Katie is a yoga teacher.
I’m so excited to bring you this conversation with Katie. She is someone that I deeply connect with, and I’m so grateful for her love and friendship.
In this week’s conversation we chat about why Katie created @namaskayyy and the meaningful connections she's made, manifestation, numerology and the power of the 11-11-11 day we just had. We also share what it’s meant embodying who we are, choosing to feel, allowing ourselves to be more open with our spirituality, what has held us back, and allowing every part of who we are to blend instead of keeping things separate.. We also spend time chatting about trusting our intuition and using discernment, Katie pulls a card from her favorite deck, and SO much more!
We were both a little nervous when we sat down to record this week’s episode because honestly, the process of coming out of the spiritual closet for some reason is pretty scary! There’s a lot of perceived judgment both from ourselves and others, and even though we only scratch the surface in this week’s episode this is huge for both of us.
Katie and I are on very similar journeys, and the process of beginning to pull back these layers of our spiritual journey and practices and wanting to be more open about it all is exactly that - a journey. This is something we really want to do more of, and this felt like a really good first step!
I am just so grateful that Katie did this with me, and I’m excited to hear what you guys think about this one!
